As I look back over the years with Grace And Virtue Events, one of my favorite moments has been downloading my business's Instagram Top Nine. Each year, these snapshots serve as a meaningful reminder of the moments that have shaped my business and filled it with joy.
I started Grace And Virtue Events in August of 2018 and I started doing my Top Nine in 2019. From heartfelt proposals to stunning weddings to some behind the scenes, these top posts capture the essence of what I do. It’s a mix of nostalgia, gratitude, and excitement for the future.
Throughout the years, my client relationships have remained the heart of Grace And Virtue Events. Their trust in me allows me to exceed expectations and create exceptional planning experiences. Instagram Top Nine Cherished Memories:
This year has been a true growth year! I am so proud of the work I have accomplished. Through the good times and the challenging times. I am thankful for the grace my clients and colleagues gave me after the passing of my grandmother. This year, I was able to connect with new clients, work with some great vendors and work with a couple from proposal to engagement to their wedding! I truly am honored to continue to work in my passion.
In 2023, I had the opportunity to engage in a range of projects that allowed me to expand my creative expression. I did a lot of work to improve my systems and processes for my clients. I collaborated with talented vendors from various backgrounds and began expanding my professional network. The combination of collaboration and exploration and enriched my artistic journey and equipped me with new skills and insights that I will carry forward into future endeavors.
2022 was not just about popping the question; it was about creating unique storylines that allowed partners to immerse themselves in the magic of the moment. Each proposal was tailored to reflect the couple's love story, ensuring that the experience was as special as the commitment being made.
From intimate settings to grand gestures, I had the privilege of working with numerous couples, guiding them in planning their proposals. One of the key elements I emphasized was the importance of allowing time for the couple to enjoy their moment together after the proposal. This simple yet impactful suggestion led to many special moments, filled with laughter, tears, and joy.
In addition to proposals, I also had the honor of working with amazing wedding clients. Their celebrations were filled with love, laughter, and beautiful details. Each wedding was a reflection of their personalities, and I cherished being a part of that creative planning journey.
2021 was a profoundly challenging year for me, marked by the unexpected loss of my mother. Simultaneously, the COVID-19 pandemic continued to impose significant restrictions on gatherings and events, creating an atmosphere of uncertainty and limitation.
During this time, I managed to organize and execute a styled shoot. It was an opportunity to collaborate with other talented professionals in the industry, all of whom brought their unique expertise to the project.
I was fortunate enough to carry out a few weddings and proposals under strict safety protocols. I made it a priority to ensure that the couples I worked with felt safe, special and celebrated, despite the limitations that surrounded their big day. My approach was to focus on the intimate details that made each wedding unique, allowing me to create memorable experiences for the couples and their families.
In 2020, due to COVID, everyone was at home! This unique situation, while challenging in many respects, inadvertently created an opportunity for me to connect with a range of vendors and professionals that I might not have encountered in a typical year. I learned a great deal through Zoom calls, workshops, and educational opportunities.
I completed my a few styled shoots and included my partner in a photo shoot with me!
Overall, 2020, defined by the pandemic's challenges, became a transformative period for my professional growth and relationships. The connections I made and the skills I developed during this time established a strong foundation for my business.
In 2019, I completed my first year in business. This journey involved actively engaging with industry peers, attending various networking events, and developing relationships that would prove invaluable in my career. I sought out opportunities to work with other planners, which allowed me to gain insights into different perspectives and approaches within the industry.
Additionally, I designed my first styled shoots that were meticulously planned and executed. These shoots not only provided a platform for showcasing my artistic talents but also served as a practical learning experience where I could experiment with various concepts and skills.
Overall, 2019 was a transformative year that was marked by growth, exploration, and a deep commitment to developing the foundation for my business.
